Ground handling solutions will be provided to Gulf Air’s fleet at all major airports in Saudi Arabia by SAL, the Saudi Logistics Services firm. Gulf Air is the official carrier of Bahrain.
According to the Saudi firm, this seven-year deal is another step towards strengthening expansion ambitions and strategic relationships with other airlines with large cargo operational capacity.
CEO Hesham Alhussayen remarked that the deal symbolizes years of mutual cooperation between SAL and Gulf Air in passenger and cargo flights. The Bahraini premier airline will benefit from SAL’s comprehensive variety of logistical services and offers. A key role SAL plays in enabling cargo transportation at all major airports was emphasized by him. The company utilized its entire logistic capability to successfully service airlines through thoroughly modern facilities that meet the highest international standards.
Lieutenant Captain Waleed Al Alawi, acting chief executive officer of Gulf Air, expressed his company’s gratitude for the cooperation, noting that it will help the company expand into new markets, such as Saudi Arabia.
SAL is a specialized ground handling company that handled 900,000 kg of cargo for Gulf Air in all of Saudi Arabia’s major airports in 2020 alone.
