Emirates has collaborated with HBO Max to deliver Friends: The Reunion programs to the airline’s ICE in-flight entertainment system. The Warner Media streaming service will launch in Europe in October and will be available on Emirates flights beginning next month.

Customers of all classes will be able to choose from a variety of programming options, including Kate Winslet’s Mare of Easttown and the award-winning A Black Lady Sketch Show. Additionally, it will be the first time an airline has offered the recent Friends reunion special.

There are plans to “gradually extend the content on offer” from the first 160 hours of video from 31 shows held in a dedicated folder on the ICE system.

According to the airline’s 2019 app update, travelers may now explore and download IFE playlists ahead of time, then sync them with ICE inflight using Emirates’ new playlist feature.

According to the company, HBO Max’s relationship with the carrier increased the number of channels of on-demand movies, music, TV shows, box sets, and documentaries available through the ICE system.
