Mena Cargo, the third freighter operator in Bahrain and the region’s newest dedicated full-service cargo airline, has announced its first strategic partner: Euro Atlantic Airways of Portugal.

MENA Aerospace is now part of Mena Aerospace Enterprises, Bahrain’s premier airport and aviation services company.

Recently, the Civil Aviation Affairs (CAA) department of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) in the kingdom formally gave an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) to Mena Cargo, which is part of Mena Aerospace Enterprises’ MAE Aircraft Management division.

This means that all members of the organization, as well as its assets and systems, have been given the green light to commence commercial operations.

A partnership between Mena Cargo and EuroAtlantic Airways stipulates that the latter will provide aircraft to assist Mena Cargo in extending its operations across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States.

An agreement has been reached for the one-year chartering of two Boeing 767-300ERs, one of which is P2F and more aircraft are likely to be added shortly.

The agreement was signed by the two parties in Dubai at the Gitex Global tech expo, and they will also take part in the forthcoming Dubai Airshow next month together.
