Gulf Air, based in Bahrain, is starting private charter flights via a new business named Boutique Charters, utilizing its fleet of narrow- and widebody aircraft, including Airbus A320neo and A321neoLR aircraft, as well as Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Gulf Air stated that the charter flights will be offered to government and corporate delegations, as well as for group travel, destination weddings, private family vacations, and private cargo.
The decision is consistent with Gulf Air’s objective of providing boutique services to a niche audience, emphasizing the product and customer experience for which the airline is renowned, rather than the volume-driven business of larger airline competitors. Gulf Air will offer clients a variety of in-flight services and preferences through Boutique Charters, including fresh flowers, unrestricted Wi-Fi, a selection of the latest movies and television shows, a selection of food and beverages, and tailor-made menus with cold and hot meals.
Gulf Air acting CEO Waleed Al Alawi called this a “important milestone” for the state carrier of Bahrain. After 2020, the world has changed so much that every business must adapt to new techniques of extending commerce and expanding its influence to new territories.
Our new fleet, comfort technologies, high-standard food and beverage products, and custom add-ons promise to extend our brand promise.”
