SmartLynx Airlines, a wet-lease specialist based in Latvia, will provide two Airbus A320s to Nigerian carrier Air Peace. SmartLynx claims that Air Peace will be a new customer for the operator.

Until mid-May, it will have two A320s based in Lagos.

According to Oluwatoyin Olajide, Air Peace’s chief operating officer, “the growing travel demand” in Nigeria and West Africa will be met by this agreement.

The deal with SmartLynx, Olajide says, “is a testament to this commitment to reducing the air travel burden of Nigerians.”

A pair of A320s will fly domestic and regional routes during the winter season in order to improve connectivity.

In an effort to expand into new markets and promote “safe travel,” SmartLynx has made an agreement with Air Peace.

Air Peace has a fleet of Boeing 737s and 777s, as well as the 737 Max, and is a customer.
