The Royal Air Force (RAF) Leeming in Yorkshire held a Reformation Event where the new Joint Hawk Squadron was unveiled.
New Joint Hawk Squadron (Qatar) has been named ’11 Squadron (Qatar)’ to further strengthen RAF-Qatari relations and friendship (QEAF). Nine Hawk Mk167s have been purchased by Qatar so far. It is part of a £6bn package that includes the production of 24 Typhoons and bespoke training for BAE Systems in Lancashire.
