Fly Baghdad chose this time to offer wireless IFE

With the ever-changing demands of mobile passengers, Fly Baghdad has installed Moment’s Flymingo Box wireless in-flight entertainment system on its five Boeing 737NGs. Since September, the system has been installed on three of the five planes. Digital content such as movies, TV shows, news, and documentaries, along with detailed flight information and a moving map can be accessed by passengers using their personal electronic devices. Adding online duty-free shopping and in-flight menus to the airline’s existing retail offerings will also be possible with Moment.

International flights are currently available from Baghdad International Airport’s hub to Dubai, Istanbul, Cairo, Amman, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. Fly Baghdad was launched in 2015.

Adding wireless IFE to Fly Baghdad’s fleet is a way for the airline to differentiate itself from its competitors, according to CEO Basheer Al-Shabbani.

In order to improve the quality of our fleet and transform passenger travel, “onboard digital innovation” is an essential step, he said.
