The codeshare arrangement between Qatar Airways and RwandAir has enabled new direct flights from Rwanda to Qatar.
Together, they will deliver more choice, comfort, and connectivity at HIA – the World’s Best Airport.
This new addition allows passengers from Qatar’s airport to travel to over 25 countries across Africa, Europe, and Asia. Qatar Airways travellers can use their Qmiles to book one of three weekly trips on rwandair.com.
HIA’s strategic location allows for easy worldwide connectivity, with 80 percent of the world’s population within 6 hours of the World’s Best Airport.
HIA also offers a mix of cultural, retail, and hospitality offerings in a safe and efficient environment.
“As the world’s preferred gateway to Qatar and beyond, HIA has successfully continued to deliver safe operations to both global airlines and passengers,” stated Qatar Airways Group CEO Mr. Akbar Al Baker. This is a significant achievement for RwandAir’s route extension and the recovery of travel through Qatar’s airport.”
Rwandan Airlines CEO Yvonne Makolo said: “We are happy to work with HIA and Qatar Airways, which will help us continue our recovery while improving our passengers’ travel experience.
With more connections to Qatar and Qatar Airways destinations worldwide, our clients will have more options from Kigali.
The agreement stems from a shared commitment to passenger safety. RwandAir became the first airline to obtain the APEX Health Safety Diamond Standard of Safety earlier this year. SimpliFlying audit powered
