by Mahua Special Editor

EMEA Vice President of Business Development Pete Allwood has joined APOC (Europe, Middle East and Africa). He will be responsible for guiding and directing APOC’s expansion efforts in the European Union and the Middle East and North Africa. To maximise the company’s growing expertise in narrow-body aircraft and engine support, Allwood will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and programme initiatives, according to APOC.

When he was regional head for EMEA at Killick Aerospace, Allwood had a lot of experience working with airlines, operators, and MROs to help them acquire 737G/A320F narrowbody aircraft, as well as engines such as the CFM56-5B/-7B and V2500-A5.

CEO Max Lutje Wooldrik says the new position of VP business development – EMEA is critical to maintaining the growth trajectory that we have started. In a few short years, we’ve achieved a lot, and Pete will build on that.” Our airline customers’ needs, the services they demand, and development. Although the airline industry is showing signs of recovery, it remains cautious. Customers are very cost-conscious, and they scrutinize every expenditure very carefully before approving it. Since we’re all used to working in unconventional ways, my new task is to collaborate with the APOC team to come up with cost-effective servicing and provisioning program solutions that are also flexible and creative.

The American Petroleum Institute of Chemicals (APOC) has also recently appointed Kevin Wall to the position of senior vice president, America’s business development.
