Customers of Jet Aviation will be able to purchase sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from SkyNRG, a global leader in SAF and related solutions, through a Book and Claim service starting immediately.
In order to reduce their carbon footprint, business aviation owners and operators can use Book and Claim to access SAF even if SAF is not physically available for uplift. The SAF is sold as conventional jet fuel at a nearby airport supplied by SkyNRG. In order to calculate carbon emissions factors, the volume of SAF is tracked and verified, and the end-customer is allocated the corresponding carbon emissions. Environmental benefits, such as the avoidance of unnecessary transportation costs, are properly accounted for by this method of accounting.
According to David Paddock, the president of Jet Aviation, “as a global company with global customers we’re committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and are pleased to partner with SkyNRG to make SAF more widely accessible.” “As a business aviation service provider, we are pleased to help broaden access to SAF by offering more options to aviation customers through our new Book and Claim service,” the company said in a statement. We’ve taken a big step toward ensuring that everyone can participate in the climate solution — anywhere, anytime — through Book and Claim.”
