It has been announced that Jazeera Airways is teaming up with the Norwegian climate and technology company, Choose, in order to offer customers the opportunity to offset their carbon emissions by supporting a range of CO2-reducing climate solutions. The Jazeera Airways website has been rebranded green for the week in honor of this new initiative.
When customers book with Jazeera, they can choose to offset their carbon emissions with the new service. In addition to providing passengers with the expected CO2 emissions for their trip, it also provides them with the option to offset their carbon footprint.
It’s now possible for passengers to offset their carbon footprints by donating to climate projects. If the option is selected, the contribution is added to the final bill.
According to the chief executive officer of Jazeera Airways, Rohit Ramachandran, “Jazeera Airways is a forward-looking airline that takes responsibility to safeguard the safety and well-being of its customers, employees, and environment. We have already purchased A320neo aircraft, which are more environmentally friendly – reducing CO2 emissions by 50%, reducing engine noise by 50%, and increasing fuel efficiency by 18%. As of today, we’re making it possible for customers who care about the environment to offset their carbon emissions while also making a positive impact on the communities we fly to.
