There were members from a wide range of organisations on the board, including Airbus and Boeing as well as the Defense Services Marketing Council and Lockheed Martin, Lufthansa Technik, Raytheon Emirates, Saab and Safran.

To them, this Summit represents a unique chance for top-level senior leadership teams to get together and discuss the industry’s prospects. Because of this, they place an emphasis on the need of a policy-oriented summit that brings together people from all over the world.

Sustainability, the deployment of digital technology, future mobility, supporting tech innovation ecosystems, 5G and connectivity, and access to markets were among the topics highlighted during the conference. Climate change and sustainability were at the top of the agenda for the aerospace industry at this year’s conference.

The necessity of CEO leadership groups in understanding and driving the application of AI and big data was also highlighted at the Summit’s digital theme. As the sector undergoes a digital revolution and technological growth, the organisation called for increased innovation and creativity to address these issues.

“Recent gatherings of industry executives at Dubai Airshow 2021 has revealed that although there are a lot of problems to overcome, there are just as many exciting opportunities and potential,” said Timothy Hawes, managing director of Tarsus, Middle East. The industry places a high value on long-term viability and the efficient transfer of information. As private sector and entrepreneurship increase, new technology is being developed and new collaborations are formed.”
