United Arab Emirates (UAE) national carrier Etihad Airways and IT infrastructure services firm Kyndryl have established a multi-year cooperation to accelerate the UAE’s digital transformation. Kyndryl will help Etihad modernise its IT infrastructure by recommending best-in-class cloud solutions.
“As Etihad evolves, its ability to push the frontiers of aviation innovation and digitization is required to deliver the next generation travel experience. Kyndryl’s experience in cloud settings will help Etihad become more flexible and sustainable, said Frank Meyer, Etihad’s Chief Digital Officer.
According to Vickram Nagi, managing director of Kyndryl Middle East, Africa and Turkey, “Etihad has long been recognised for infusing innovation into every part of its business and consistently adapting to better serve its staff and visitors”.
“We are happy to have been picked by Etihad to assist support the next phase of its digital transformation through the deployment of best-in-breed cloud technologies,” he said. To better serve our clients, this partnership confirms our dedication to supporting mission-critical technology systems and building solid connections with top technology innovators.
Innovation and technology have helped Etihad adapt to the aviation industry and improve its world-renowned guest experience. As a result, the airline decided to go from a private cloud to a cloud strategy that encompassed numerous public cloud environments for its workloads in order to gain greater flexibility.
By working closely with key cloud providers, Etihad will seek Kyndryl’s help in identifying suitable cloud platforms for its mission-critical workloads
