Rabat – The Global Traveler magazine’s 18th annual GT Tested Reader named Morocco’s national airline as Africa’s top airline.

During the annual Global Traveler awards ceremony in Los Angeles on December 14, Royal Air Maroc was presented with the prize.

It was recently shown that Royal Air Maroc is the fourth best airline in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) behind Etihad Airways, Emirates, and Qatar Airways. The CEO of Royal Air Maroc, Hamid Addou, expressed his gratitude for the honour, noting that it serves as an additional source of motivation for the organisation. We are overjoyed and humbled to be named the greatest airline in Africa and to have received this prestigious accolade.

The winners of the awards were revealed by Global Traveler earlier this month.

‘We start with the winners that take us to and from all of the globe’s most significant entry points, providing the great chance we all have to see the intriguing corners and culture of the world,’ read the magazine. Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Air Seychelles, and Air Mauritius round up Africa’s top five airlines.

Royal Air Maroc has received a slew of other honours. Skytrax bestowed one of its most recent honours on us. A handful of carriers from the Oneworld alliance, including Royal Air Maroc, were included in Skytrax’s list of the world’s best airline alliances in September.
