Airbus intends to strongly challenge Qatar’s claim that it is the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer.
By filing a lawsuit against Airbus in the High Court in London, Qatar Airways has ratcheted up its disagreement with the European jet manufacturer.
As of December, the Gulf airline has begun legal procedures at the London court of technology and building.
It is Qatar Airways’ claim that certain A350 aircraft have been damaged and if this “accelerated surface deterioration” is only a cosmetic issue or something more severe. The lawsuit revolves around this.
There was no other option except to seek a quick settlement of this issue through the courts, Qatar Airways stated, “We have regretfully failed in all our endeavours to achieve a constructive agreement with Airbus.”
